To Phase or not to Phase?

by

I’m already moving on from the heartbreak of the ecmwf model go from 5 inches to nothing in a just a few days. We’re looking at a system for next Sunday morning that could dent the snow drought if phasing occurs.

the CMC is very close to a phased solution.

00z GFS phases a touch to late for us. It phases and blasts northeast with a blizzard. Need it to phase further west.

week high pressure this morning has been what’s called a dirty high expect cloudy skies instead of increasing clouds.

gfs has one heck of a surge of WAA ahead of the weekend storm. Is there any chance of snow for anyone in KY for this weekend?

Mitch, does this include Lou. Metro?? I might be reading the latest GFS wrong. But, the snowfall accumulation is only 1″ from what I see & it is for only eastern ky.

Storm looks similar to Dec 19-20 2009 though a bit warmer.
