Active weather on tap

by

Good evening everyone!! thank you for checking in tonight on this fine evening. I am super sincerely sorry about me not posting the past few days. I got grounded, but it is all worked out now!! šŸ™‚ As most of you know, it has been REALLY rainy the past couple days. Here was yesterday’s rainfall totals.

As we move into later this week, we will likely end up seeing more rain and severe weather. As if weĀ haven’tĀ seen enough for those of you who hate rain and storms. For the lovers of storms, this has been a great year. The SPC already has an outlook region highlighted.

I would like to see that 30% risk moved northward though. This storm will likely produce snow in the north central plains, which is crazy for April. As the winds begin coming from the south, the temps will turn in the right direction. GFS has nice warm temps on Friday. That would be very nice to see, as it won’t last long. This low has a good amount of cold air to work with given that both the GFS and NAM have a ton of snow falling in the plains late this week. The temps will likely drop into the 50’s for Saturday, which may not be pleasant because we may have clouds around.

I will leave you with the ominous statement from the SPC about Friday’sĀ severeĀ storm threat. Have a great day and God bless.

THE GFS AND NAM SOLUTIONS FOCUS THE LOW-LEVEL JET
FURTHER NORTH IN TN AND KY BY LATE AFTERNOON WHILE THE ECMWF SHOWS A
STRONG COMPONENT OF THE JET IN THE TN VALLEY AND CNTRL GULF COAST
STATES. IF THE ECMWF SOLUTION IS CORRECT AND MOISTURE RETURN ENDS UP
BEING STRONGER THAN FORECAST...THEN A TORNADO OUTBREAK COULD OCCUR
IN PARTS OF WRN TO MIDDLE TN...MS AND AL FRIDAY AFTERNOON. AT THIS
POINT...THE POTENTIAL FOR AN OUTBREAK REMAINS CONDITIONAL AND
DIFFERENCES IN THE MODEL SOLUTIONS RAISE UNCERTAINTIES CONCERNING
   THE EXACT SCENARIO.
