squall line monday not like past events, hot today

1. Today i expect another warm day with strong southerly winds as many of us try to reach 90.

2. Monday a cold front moves through in the morning with morning temperatures still near 70. Temps should stay steady in the 70’s with a wind shift to the northwest. the front will have a band of showers and storms with it some of the storms may be strong with gusty winds. A wave of low pressure may slow the passage of this frontal system and allow showers to linger throughout the day after the passage of the main line, similar to last time with the long period of rain behind the line. overall another decent rain event around 1/2 inch is expected with some higher totals.

3. I could see a shower linger early Tuesday with clearing conditions highs should only in the 60’s after lows in the 50’s. Wednesday and Thursday will be transition again to southerly flow with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 70’s.

4. I’m going to a national geography conference to present my research in Seattle this week from Wednesday through Sunday. Pierce will likely again be contributing later this week.
