Japan aftermath and upcoming warm-up

We all have watched the news or picked up the newspaper to see that Japan has had a very difficult and trying period across the pacific. Some of you in addition to being concerned about the country’s welfare may ask about any fall out in the US. The principle of Jet stream was found by Japan in WW 2 and any nuclear cloud could come east. Here is a report from accuweather http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/news/story/46984/japan-nuclear-incident-and-the.asp .  As for any tsunami risk a friend of mine at the Tampa NWS made a report on the risk in the gulf coast region http://www.srh.noaa.gov/images/tbw/TopNews/PDF/Tsunami.pdf.

Speaking of Tampa, I’ll provide forecasts for Tampa and Denver with the next update for our b-ball teams. Locally a major warm-up is coming!

After tomorrow I think any chance for rain stays north as we go into the 60’s Wednesday and Saturday with 70’s Thursday and Friday a good bet for highs with lows in the 50’s.  Southerly winds most days will pick up as well.
