3:00 pm update

the moderate snow band is moving east and southeast across the state. So far qpf amounts have been from .1 to .2 along the band and from .2 to .35 north of 1-64. So far the forecast is on target with 1-3 south of 1-64 and 3-5 north of 1-64.  However the ECMWF picked up nicely on a temperature spike across eastern and southeast  kentucky this may still allow for some rain at the start of the snow band.

Central Great Lakes sector loop

roads will be very slick and snow covered for the rush hours in Bowling green, Louisville, Lexington and Covington extreme caution is advised.
