Early week rain

by

There still two model solutions for rain early this week

1. GFS/CMC

NAM/ECMWF

Overall the GFS/CMC is stronger and further west with the low than the NAM/ECMWF. The NAM path brings showers Tuesday with some steady rain for the east. While the GFS solution results in widespread heavy rainfall. Highs will be in the 50’s with lows in the 30’s.

More later today on my secondary low theroy for late thanksgiving week. One low rides up the plains well to our northwest arctic air rushes in behind with low pressure delevopment along the gulf coast which then tracks through the southeast. could be an intresting end to the holiday and warrant the concern about icy travels in our part of the world for turkey day.

highs holding in the 40’s for the south and east today.
