weekend forecast

yesterday some much-needed rain fell across most of the region, however on average it was only slightly more than normal for that one day and not a drought denter.

1. NW flow behind the frontal system with high pressure building in today. This will allow for a somewhat windy day (10-15 mph winds) and highs in the mid to upper 60’s.

2. With high pressure still to our northwest tomorrow northerly flow will continue with lows in the 40’s and highs in the 60’s. A slight increase in clouds is possible for eastern Kentucky as low pressure explodes over the east coast with wrap-around clouds.

3.  The weekend should be dry with high pressure in control and a surge of warmer air from the west which should highs into the 70’s after chilly starts in the 40’s. winds should be light.
