Quiet start to week

1. High pressure will be over the region once again today this means sinking/ stable air unfavorable for cloud formation and relativity light winds with highs in the low to mid 80’s after starting in the 50’s.

2. Tuesday and Wednesday should both be mostly sunny with a few additional clouds from thunderstorm complexes over the great plains and upper midwest from time to time. This will be due to a low pressure in western Kansas and warm front extending north of it. highs should be in the mid to upper 80’s across the state even with a few clouds. Also with the high pressure ridge moving east southerly flow will become dominant advection type again increasing humidity a little each day.

3. in the tropics it a wait and see to see if Igor is the next cat 5 storm and Julia is well out in the Atlantic.
