high heat index values today in Bowling Green region ( coverage of scattered severe storms as well)

by

Right now with dewpoints in the mid 70’s and temperatures close to 90 heat index values have risen to the upper 90’s in the Bowling green area. If few pop up storms those heat index values could easily top 100 today. Allow extra caution when outdoors. The heat index is less of a concern elsewhere with slightly cooler temps and lower dewpoints. Thunderstorms are most likely in the Lexington metro this afternoon.
