Thundery Friday??

For those like myself  with some actual free time to take a deep breath before the weeks leading up to finals it may not be welcomed but at least it’s some the likelihood of some much-needed rain around here.

1. Another warm and dry airmass is in place which will take the remainder of the week to actually get dewpoints into the upper 50’s and 60’s.  Highs will be in the low 80’s ahead of the next front on Thursday.

2. clouds should increase from north to south on Friday with showers and storms forming north of the Ohio river and dropping south late in the afternoon. These will move from south to north Friday night and into Saturday morning. Any chance for severe weather with this front is very low and rainfall totals are typical of a frontal passage about 1/2 inch. Both the nam and gfs have similar timing.

the weekend should be much cooler with the flow from the n instead of the s.
