colder south and warmer north

We will have upper low pass just south of the region today with a cold pool of air aloft which will mix down to the surface when precipitation falls across the south which will keep highs around 40 with mid 40’s in the north further away from the upper low. The nam soundings trended warmer but with 850 temps still modeled at -3 to -6*C and thickness values below 540 I still think some snow flakes can mix in for the south. otherwise scattered rain showers and a cold overcast day is likely.

– Tuesday will be in the 50’s with some clearing, by Wednesday 60’s are back with sunny skies under high pressure.
