some light snow/rain  also extends into areas just south and east of bowling Green.

for Somerset and Pikeville areas periods of snow mixed with a little rain will continue through the morning with some accumulation on grass i still think totals around an inch maybe 1.5 in the Virgina border counties the nws has issued a winter weather advisory for those counties.

WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS
EVENING.

* ACCUMULATING…LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO OVERSPREAD
  THE AREA FROM THE SOUTH TODAY. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF BY
  EARLY THIS EVENING.

* ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE ABOVE 1500 FEET.
  WITH RELATIVELY WARM SURFACE TEMPERATURES…SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
  BELOW 1500 FEET WILL BE LIGHTER…UP TO AN INCH AND MAINLY ON
  GRASSY AREAS.

* RELATIVELY WARM SURFACE TEMPERATURES WILL HELP KEEP TRAVEL IMPACTS
  TO A MINIMUM. HOWEVER…SNOW WILL EVENTUALLY ACCUMULATE ON AREA
  ROADS ABOVE 1500 FEET…CREATING HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.
