cool down in sight

by

1. our first week front in a few days around the ring of fire will fire off some scattered storms Thursday and Friday as a result humidity will be up but temps down a tad into the mid and upper 80’s. there is a small threat 0f strong storms with gusty winds and hail late in the day for the north, the ridge will keep chances smaller over the south.

2. the flow will turn sw for saturday  which will bring a piece of the ridge east and highs into the 90-95 range with sunny skies.  dewpoints will also be in the mid 60’s. as a result heat index values could reach 100 Saturday for many areas and some spots toward 1-65 could reach 105 for the heat index.

3. a much stronger cold front will erode and push the ridge back to the west on Sunday. this front will bring a likelihood for showers and storms and cool temps back into the low 80’s.

4. by early next week a low should cutoff over the great lakes as depicted most of the major models today this will result in much cooler weather perhaps high only in the low to mid 70’s with scattered showers and a nw wind.the nws has mid 80’s not straying to far from climate norms, a common mishap in there long range outlooks with a nw flow pattern.
