winter storm update 8:00 pm

by

for a few counties i highlighted earlier this has turned into a winter storm with report of 3 and 4 inch totals with sleet and frz rain mixing in over these areas. for most us in areas such as lexington, richmond, maysville and ashland it’s be quiet so far but not for folks in corbin, somerset, jackson and hazard. radar trends indicate hvy precip will continue for a while longer in these areas. snowfall rates have been able to overcome the warm ground easier than what i thought in this zone. for the rest of us radar trands and the ruc has i what posted earlier verifiying. areas such as corbin, somerset, jackson and hazard roads are or will become very slcik during the evening creating hazrdus driving a rough fri am commute.
