spring, where are these stairs going??

1. we’re going up for a few days well into the 30’s tuesday, 50 wednesday and mid to upper 50’s thursday and then into the 60’s friday.  skies will be fair each of these days the gfs has some spotty light precip but that is line with the model bias so i continue to leave it dry.

2. a cold front will come through saturday at least expected by the jam,cmc and euro models with a good shot at rain showers the gfs has what i’ve been showing for the past few days 70 and sunny. with the chance of showers highs will only be in the low 60’s. sunday could have northerly flow drizzle and temps knocked down into the 40’s and 50’s again this is a long way away from the 75 and sunshine i trended toward yesturday but the majority of the models now show this less pleasing solution for the weekend.

3.  temps should warm back up early next week before what should be a big time march storm we could end up on either side severe weather or wintry precip.

STATE WINDE TORNADO DRILL TUESDAY MARCH 3 AT 10:00 AM.  a good tip is to always check the blog  a day or two before the event to see how big and the details of the threat.  there is a high risk of a tornado drill tommorow as atmspheric condtions will be favorable for it.

we’re nearing some big milestones on the blog and we’ll have a celebration post for these milestones which will be reached very soon maybe even an attempt at a gathering in april for the storm spotter training session in versailles.

hail criteria for severe storms will now be 1 inch instead of 3/4 inch. proved to be a good move in kansas video on this site.
