a snow band going from 1-71 se to richmond will continue moving ne this morning leaving about an inch of snow covering roads and making things very slick. some schools will likely let out early as well.

more numerous snow showers are starting to form in the ownesboro and e-town areas which will become more widespread and move into the region.

temps already falling into the 10’s in indiana. winds will also increase making wind chills near 0 by days end.

the batch of snow in indiana will continue to strethgen and dive into the 3-8 zone from last night some thundersnow is possibile as well this afternoon.

no changes to snowmap may need to raise that 8 and lower the southern edge of the 1-3 we’ll watch this as the day goes on.

    very slick outside with old ice and snow which has refroze and the new snow. i slipped in the driveway once and was lucky to get up.

    yes marhsa morgan does get clipped by the hvy band most folks will be near the 4 with 10 being the most isolated.

    dryer air moving into the system 18z nam has backed off a bit so we’ll do away with the 4-10 section and lower the 3-8 to 2-8. most of the lexington metro and western areas will see more isolated snow showers while areas near and east of jkl will see numeorus snow showers.

    snow showers from west liberty to hazard are producing snowfall rates of 2-4 inches per hour!!!
